Sparkle Empowerment Program for Girls
Sparkle’s purpose is to develop middle and high school aged girls’ leadership qualities, encourage volunteerism, and self-esteem, while exposing the participants to philanthropy, the arts and educational opportunities. Enrollment begins in the spring of each year. You may join the email list to receive updates and invitations, or you may send an email to email@example.com.
The Valley Stream Youth Council is open to all students in Junior and Senior High School who live in the Village of Valley Stream and to those students who attend any of Valley Stream’s four high schools. If you’re in grades 7th through 12th and are interested in joining, or if you know a student that may be interested, or maybe you are just interested in more information please give us a call at 516-256-0468.
The W.A.N.T.E.D. Project
The WA.N.T.E.D. Project is a 7-week program for young men, ages 12-18, to learn coping strategies and for the danger they face daily, such as fellow youth violence, police targeting, poor decision-making and other unforeseen circumstances that can cause our young men harm.
