Everyone can’t afford the high costs of today’s gowns. It has just gotten out of hand, you know. But no young lady should ever feel like they can’t attend Leon because they can’t buy a gown.
But there’s a solution for that.
Nassau Community College Marketing and Fashion students and the Long Island Volunteer Center will be distributing donated dresses and accessories free of charge at the Prom Boutique on Saturday, April 14th from 9am to 3pm at Nassau County Community College, CCB Building in Garden City.
Contact Annette Grey for Valley Stream High School District (Memorial, Central, North & South) The actual time slot is TBA but make sure you RSVP with her ASAP.
Please secure your appointment by April 2nd to secure a time slot and put your name her list.
Email HER with your name, age & school at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This event is for girls of families who cannot easily absorb the expense of a new gown for their prom, sweet sixteen, graduation, or any other special event. The boutique is available to any girl, grades 9-12 from across Long Island who can benefit from this program. Minor alterations will be done on-site. Last year’s event reached over 3000 girls.
