Disclosure: In exchange for this ongoing review, I was provided samples of the program. All opinions are mine and true.
It’s been over 6 months since the kids have taken swim lessons, so when the folks at Goldfish Swim School called inviting the kids to take lessons, I jumped on it. We’ve been to a few other swim schools in the area, but honestly folks none compare to what I’ve experienced at Goldfish Swim School.
Last June, we celebrated my son’s 8th birthday at the school and had a great time. It was brand spanking new, brightly lit, tropical, and both kid and parent friendly. Plenty of seating, no overbearing chlorine smell. I could also go to the hair salon the same day and not worry about my hair falling here.
This is huge.
My son was placed in the Glider Class because his dear old mom couldn’t tell the school what strokes he knew. They were able to assess him within this 30-minute class and decided that he needed to stay there until he clears all of the necessary skills to move forward.
I love that they gave him a ribbon on his first day. What a great way to keep the kid’s confidence up.
My daughter has been swimming a lot longer than my son. She has been on the Valley Stream Swim Team for the past few summers. I was super excited to learn that Goldfish Swim School has a Swim Team class that will help give her the attention she needs.
I always felt as she didn’t quite understand that she was competing and didn’t give it her all. I need someone that in her ear constantly coaching her to be better in a good way.
There are three instructors in the pool for eight kids for the hour-long class. I love this already and I’m not just saying this. I’m already happy and they were only 40 minutes into the class.
So far, the class has completed laps in the entire length of the pool, completed skills, turns, and more. They even give 1:1 attention to the kids at some point or for those that need it. I can’t exactly tell right now but you know I’ll find out.
I absolutely love this swim program. I was a little hesitant at first to enroll the kids because I thought it was for the little ones. This is what I have been looking for. The sitting area is not overly crowded which is a bonus because I don’t do well in tight spaces. I instantly get cranky.
A sure sign that the kids enjoy swimming here is when it came time to get ready to leave for class, no one complained.
A bonus for me is that there are a few restaurants near the Garden City location so dinner is at your fingertips.
I’m winning everywhere, folks. Winnin’ with swimmin’.
Classes are available for kids as young as four months old through age 12. I’ll be sharing more on Goldfish Swim School so be sure to follow me!
