To say that I love to cook for my family, is an understatement! I love to see their happy faces as they spoon taste, after yummy taste into their mouths. My family starts to hover as soon as the aromas make their way upstairs.
This week, I had the delightful pleasure of trying some Botticelli Foods products on my families dinner menu. On Monday night we had a traditional dish with a twist. I created Italian Sausage and Peppers over Linguine.
We don’t eat much red meat family, so instead, I used smoked turkey sausage in my recipe. I added some fresh yellow onions and Botticelli’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil and their Fire Roasted Sweet Red Peppers. What a delicious combination!! I didn’t have to add any other spices AT ALL!! The juices from the sausage and the sweet, smoky flavor of the red peppers came together beautifully. I served it over the Botticelli Linguine. The linguine cooked up perfectly. The texture and taste of this pasta made this dish, as my mother and husband put it “Exceptional”.
On Tuesday, we enjoyed a ground turkey Bolognese over Botticelli Rottini pasta. It was simmered with the Botticelli Tomato & Basil pasta sauce. I also added my favorite seasoning, onion powder. This dish was also another HIT! My family gobbled it up. We had the pleasure of enjoying it for 2 nights. It tasted even better the next day. The sauce seemed to really melt together over night.
I have since used the Botticelli Olive Oil to make brown rice and sauteed chicken breast. I really like the EVOO because it doesn’t have a strong, bitter after taste like some oils. It gave my brown rice a really nice, mild flavor.
I’m thankful to Botticelli Foods for allowing me the opportunity to try their family of products. I will be looking for their brand at my local grocery store.
