Around September, people start looking for restaurants serving Thanksgiving meals. To me, the most stressful part of the holiday season is not the shopping or seeing Christmas decorations before Halloween has passed. It’s the pressure to produce large, traditional meals synonymous with the season.
I don’t wanna. Especially after learning that The Inn at New Hyde Park is having an amazing Thanksgiving Buffet. Have you been? With four seating’s beginning at 1 p.m., cost for adults is $49 with children (ages 3 – 12) just at $25 plus tax. Kids under three are free!
I miss having dinner with my large family. After making two round trips of 10 -11 hours each way back and forth to Ohio this past summer, and the cost of airline tickets for a family of four is about $2,000, we are staying put. Again.
So I’m searching for dinner alternatives. Cooking is a lot of work for a family of five. It’s just so much fuss, preparation, frustration….I finally mastered my macaroni and cheese after several attempts over the years. The kids don’t care for it because they’re used to the boxed stuff.
So in rescue of all folks out there who aren’t looking to shop, cook, and clean up, I have your back. Here are a few lists we, you and I, may want to consider this Thanksgiving. Lets hope they also offer Christmas dinner too! #nocleanup
