Next week is Winter Break and if you have vacation plans in sunny Florida, California, anywhere in the Caribbean or any place warm, can I go? Seriously, if you have plans for a snowy staycation you are in the right place.
Next week there are so many fun activities for the kids. The focus of this post is to highlight the drop off day camps and programs nearby.
Bricks 4 Kidz has set up camp right here in Valley Stream for the entire week. My kids LOVE this program and look forward to class. During the break, kids can build all sorts of cool stuff. The daily program takes place at Fireman’s Field daily from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. for just $125 for the week. You can’t beat that.
The Center for Science, Teaching, and Learning in Rockville Centre has a daily drop off from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. for just $50/day. What a bargain! School may be out but they’ll never know they’re learning while having fun. Early drop off and pick-up available.
Earth Arts of Long Beach has a 2-hour drop off paint “camp” which gives you a little break, but much. I love the fact that they have a different theme each day for kids 5 – 14. Projects include monsters, ice cream, electric zebras and more. I can’t explain it. Paint time is daily from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. for just $38.02 with a 10% sibling discount. Online registration required.
Rolling River Day Camp in East Rockaway has a great interactive line up just in time for break. A multitude of on and off campus activities are planned sure to tucker your kids out. Isn’t that what we want? Am I alone here? Probably not. Report time is 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. (extended day extra) for just $90/day, or $70/day for those who have enrolled in their 2014 summer camp, kids will enjoy arts and crafts, indoor play, story telling and more.
Rockville Centre Recreation has a few interesting drop off opportunities next week. Gingerbread and Giggles presents their Delicious Disney Days featuring edible creations (3 hour program), sports, Just for Fun, Olympic themed events, ice skating, movies, and more fun outings plus many more combo camps for kids of all ages. Costs vary according to program.
