Sip This
Start your morning off with a cup of coffee at Valley Steam’s “it” place, Sip This. In addition to an assortment of coffees, they have flavored smoothies, breakfast pastries, and now delicious waffles sure to fill and please your tummy. Mine was pleased just yesterday. Waffles serviced 9a – 9p, themed nights, and weekly comedy. 64 Rockaway Avenue.
Bagel Breakfast
Stop by Magic Bagels for one of the softest and yummiest bagels in town. The line may look long, but it goes super fast and the service is pleasant. Take cash because your credit is no good here. 194 W. Merrick Road.
Mitchell’s Diner
This Valley Stream spot recently had a makeover a few years back but the food didn’t change. This family friendly environment is fun, has a few TVs that are always on. Don’t be afraid to ask to have it turned to Nick Jr. or something for the kiddies to keep them quiet if they get bored. The food is yummy and I always order either the egg white omelette with feta cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms, and cheese or I go IN with the pancakes, scrambled eggs with cheese, and hash browns. But this is also why I need to hit the gym. No parking lot of its own, but street parking is free on Sundays. Delivery available after 11 a.m. 191 Rockaway Avenue.
Valbrook Diner
Another gem here in Valley Stream that’s coveted by locals. The old school atmosphere is kinda cool, the tables a little tight, but all of that is erased when the food comes out. The breakfast is equally as good as its diner competition. There is a small parking lot in the back available daily, but you can also park on the street for free on Sundays. 160 E. Merrick Road
Ihop
This is our chain restaurant here. I have only been once because the line is absolutely crazy and parking is a nightmare. However, it is always crowded so there must be something that I’m missing. A few years ago, it burned down to the ground but was rebuilt and has been hopping ever since. Pun intended. Sounds like this location is a cash cow. 180 Sunrise Highway
Honorable Mention
As a back up, stop by Bagel Express which is pretty good. The service was pleasant, the store super clean, and an offering of an arrangement of bagels, breakfast, cold cuts, specialty, and salad sandwiches and so much more. Delivery available. Plenty of parking for all. 207A W. Merrick Road/King Kullen Shopping Center

Thats good to know. Valet and takeout plus preordering is the way to go. Thanks for the info.
IHOP offers valet parking and takeout so you can actually enjoy the IHOP food at home. Call and order and its ready by the time you get there. My son loves the cinnastack (think Cinnabon) pancakes so I usually take out from there as a treat for him. Mitchell’s and Valbrook are great breakfast spots too. Great suggestions.
